HEALTHY TABOULE RECIPE FOR YOU!
I decided this weekend to explore a few different options in food choices and have introduced Wasa and Taboule into my diet. Interesting what you can do with a Wasa cracker…so many great combinations of recipes. Here is a handy lifestyle tip brochure from them. The Taboule is a little different…tasty and healthy. I found another great recipe for roasted Brussels sprouts that I am going to try this next week 🙂

Fresh Mozzarella & Grilled Red Peppers on Wasa
INGREDIENTS
- 1 slice Wasa Hearty Crispbread
- 1 slice fresh mozzarella cheese
- 2 slices of grilled red peppers
DIRECTIONS
Layer ingredients and broil for a few minutes.

Greek Taboule Salad
INGREDIENTS
- 1 package of NEAR EAST Taboule Wheat Salad
- 1 Tlbs olive oil
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 2 Tlbs lemon juice
- 1 cup of crumbled feta cheese
- 3/4 cup of peeled, seeded and chopped cucumber
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh basil
- Romaine lettuce leaves
- Lemon wedges
- In large bowl, combine wheat and contents of spice sack. Stir in 1 cup boiling water. Cover, let stand thirty minutes in refrigerator.
- Stir in the next six ingredients above.
- Cover; chill one hour or overnight. Toss well before serving on a bed of lettuce. Garnish with lemon wedges so guests can squeeze onto the Taboule for a tarter flavor if desired.
